When setting up an ACH transfer from a U.S. bank, brokerage or third party payment provider to your East West Bank account – you may be asked to verify your transfer instruction using test deposits / trial deposits / micro deposits.

Step One:

Input your East West Bank account information where required and submit your ACH transfer request.

Step two:

If test deposits / trial deposits / micro deposits is the required verification method, follow the instructions provided by the external U.S. bank, brokerage, or third party payment provider for verification.

Step three:

Generally, within 1 – 3 business days after you submit the ACH transfer request, you should start checking your transaction history for 2 small deposits (each less than $1.00). To access your transaction history, go to your app dashboard and tap on your account.

Step four:

Once you confirm that the 2 small deposit amounts (exact amount will be provided by the sending bank, brokerage or payment provider) have been received in your East West Bank account, you should complete the verification process as instructed on the external U.S. bank, brokerage or third party payment provider’s platform.

If you do not complete verification within the specified amount of time (exact duration determined by the sending bank, brokerage or payment provider), the test deposits will expire and you will need to restart the process again.
